We have been working very hard over the last couple of years to raise funds so that we can install a brand new inclusive playground that our children very much deserve!! We have numerous children in wheelchairs and with other health issues throughout our school and they deserve to have time on a playground with their peers just as much as all the other children within our school with no disability. Without your help this will not be possible. The children were asking at the end of last year why the playground was not being installed and the only answer we can come up with is because there is not enough support from parent volunteers! The awesome news is that we can change that this year!! Why not sign up? The commitment is very low yet so rewarding!!! The children of Athena will thank you the day we can install that beautiful playground!!!
So we are asking you to please consider giving up 1 hour of your time minimum each month to make this the most successful school year yet!! Maybe you know somebody that owns a business that would be willing to make a donation, maybe you own a business and are willing to donate, maybe you know of a particular grant that we would be entitled to and should apply for... It is this kind of support that we are very much in need of!!!
We currently have just a little over $20,000 and have a long way to go!! Let's make the 2016-2017 school year one to remember! Many hands make light work.
